News > NEW Support Group - Bereaved Anonymous
26 February 2008

Following on from the memorial service held last November in Norwich Cathedral, it was felt there was a need for a group to connect people that have lost someone through drugs or alcohol. The group will be run by parents who have lost loved ones and supported by the Norfolk charity, The Matthew Project.

Carole Taylor, who helped organise the Memorial service and the group comments, '' the group will offer a mutuality supportive environment where you can grieve for the lost of a loved one through drugs and alcohol.''

The bereavement support group will:

  • Provide an avenue for people to meet others that have gone through similar experiences
  • Provide information regarding where to access advice and support
This NEW group Bereaved Anonymous will take place 1st Monday of every month
First meeting: 3rd March, 6pm-7.30pm
at The Matthew Project offices, 24 Pottergate, Norwich.

Tea and coffee will be available.
Please ring before the meeting to check it is taking place.

Anyone who has lost someone or knows someone who has dies through drugs and alcohol is very welcome
