Following on from the memorial service held last November in Norwich Cathedral, it was felt there was a need for a group to connect people that have lost someone through drugs or alcohol. The group will be run by parents who have lost loved ones and supported by the Norfolk charity, The Matthew Project.
Carole Taylor, who helped organise the Memorial service and the group comments, ''
the group will offer a mutuality supportive environment where you can grieve for the lost of a loved one through drugs and alcohol.''
The bereavement support group will:
- Provide an avenue for people to meet others that have gone through similar experiences
- Provide information regarding where to access advice and support
